Contrary to what it feels like, it IS spring

I'm in upstate New York this week for my cousin's wedding this weekend.

It's been about 25 degrees F and the snow just fully melted off the ground today.

Tomorrow and Saturday we're supposed to get hit with sleet and ice.

My dress is a sleeveless dress that I will pair with nude legs and open-toed shoes. This should be fun.

I have been trying to determine how ridiculous I'd look if I wore tights and boots with the dress and if I just threw a pashmina around my shoulders.

Don't really have much of anything else to report. Except that I read an article this morning that Dick Cheney was left behind accidentally in Turkey, and that in all the hustle and bustle of getting Air Force 2 of the ground, they realized he wasn't there. So he had to fly standby out of Turkey to Damascus because all the flights were full. I'm reading this in disbelief, absolute shock. It's only after I forward it to almost everyone that I know that someone alerts me to the fact that it's from a satire media outlet, kind of like The Onion. So now everyone I know has evidence of what a clueless dingbat I am.

Well, it was cold. Sunny, but cold. Hope you had fun anyway.

Thanks Marjie, it was a Big Fat Ethnic Wedding - 600 guests. LOL It was beyond ethnic kitsch but it was a lot of fun. :-)
